At WCS we believe it is important to make all information about our application for a license to store spent nuclear fuel available to the public. Toward that end, we have posted a transcript of my public comments delivered at the public meetings the Nuclear Regulatory Commission hosted in Hobbs New Mexico and Andrews Texas last month. A video of that testimony is also available.
I would also like to take this opportunity to direct the public to our latest communication between WCS and the NRC. As promised when we submitted our license application nearly a year ago, we make all such communications available on our website. The latest, a transmittal letter we sent the NRC on March 16, is our response to an NRC Request for Supplemental Information. As outlined in the letter, WCS has addressed NRC staff’s comments received at our meetings, which are always open to the public.
As our application moves forward, we remain committed to keeping the public informed.
